While we normally love the great outdoors, we’ve pulled together some inspired indoor activities (if we do say so ourselves) to ease the strain on parents over the coming weeks and months. Check them out: scouts.org.uk/thegreatindoors #TheGreatIndoors ... See MoreSee Less

In scouting we are all volunteers, and we love sharing our experience with the young people.

We are currently at, or close to capacity in Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

Would you have a little spare time to volunteer at one of the sections? You can do it occasionally or on a more regular basis if you like, as an adult helper or even a leader.

Also, due to the size of the group now, we need people to help in the organisational side of things. The leaders are trying to deal with all the organisation, admin, financial and fundraising, which is now taking time away from programming and activities we can run.

The hut is also not as young as it used to be and needs a lot of work to keep it functioning for the scouts to use.

It can be as simple as staying and having a cuppa to provide another pair of eyes to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the young people.

If there is anything you think you may be able to help with please let us know, it’s really really good fun and very rewarding and anything you could offer would make a big difference to the scouting experience of the young people.

So drop us a message and we can give you some information, it’s not a lifetime commitment or a binding contract. You don’t get paid but we do have biscuits and you will make lasting memories, both yours and the young peoples.
