Celebrating 100 Years

In May 2015, 20th Swansea (1st Morriston) Scouts are celebrating 100 years of Scouting in Swansea. This page aims to give you an insight into the history of the group from 1915 through to the present day.

• May 13th 1915 –  troop was formed by Mr Frank Powell at Libanus School Room in Morriston.
• June 8th 1915 – troop was registered with boy “scouts” association as 20th Swansea (Morriston wesley) scout group.
• September 23rd 1927  – Mr Wilfrid Cossins registered cub scout pack.
• December 22nd 1933 group was renamed to 20th Swansea (Morriston) scout group
