Network (18-25)
Network Wales
Scout Network is the fifth and final section of the Scouting movement.
Young adults aged between 18 and 25 are eligible to register as Scout Network members, subject to a satisfactory criminal records check.
Basics
Scout Network allows those young adults who have an interest in both Scouting and their own personal development, and ultimately want to have fun, the opportunity to do so.
Activities
Scout Network members take part in a variety of activities, which they undertake and organise themselves with the support of a Scout Network Leader.
Example activities include:
Abseiling, award work, bowling, camping, circus skills, climbing, cooking, games, go-karting, gorge walking, hiking, pioneering, shooting and watersports.
To find details of your nearest Scout Network, contact the Information Centre at info.centre@scout.org.uk
Moving
If you’re moving away from home, for example to go to university, you can carry on Scouting through Scout Network (or as an adult volunteer) by informing your Area or District Commissioner that you are relocating. They will be able to put you in contact with the Commissioner for the area you are moving to and pass them your details.
Another option is SSAGO, the Student Scout and Guide Organisation.
SSAGO has branches at many universities and is open to all students at university or higher education college in the UK and more information can be found here.
